Community based decision making
The empowerment of communities – of place and interest - to design public services to suit their needs has currently strong political support. Measures to facilitate this process are underway in some sectors. This approach offers scope for significant further development.
Sutherland Youth Conference
The Sutherland Partnership in collaboration with VGES, CVS North, Highlife Highland and the Sutherland Youth Forum are consulting with young people in Sutherland in order to stage a Sutherland wide Youth Conference 2012.
O4O: Older People for Older People
A European Union Northern Periphery Project which worked with communities to identify the unmet needs of older people. Two Sutherland enterprises emerged T4T: Transport for Tongue and Community Care Assynt.
